Laurea in Mathematics, cum laude, University of Pisa, Italy (equivalence : Msc in Mathematics) March 1977

Post-graduate Researcher on a CNR (Italian National Research Council) fellowship at the "Istituto di Elaborazione dell'Informazione" of the CNR, Pisa, Italy. 1979-1982

The system of offering fellowships after a "laurea" was replaced by the more international PhD system in Italy in the 1980's.
